Restoration of old photographs is very satisfying. Being able to repair old and damaged photo’s, or edit images which have items you want removing, or sometimes adding objects or people to photo’s supplied, or a combination of each….

This usually means copying or scanning the supplied original and digitally removing cracks, dust and other flaws, then having a new photo printed from the edited image.

(What it doesn’t mean is ‘mending’ the original old and damaged original).

Occasionally I have found that a surprising amount of detail can be recovered, but this is not always the case.

I have removed people from group photo’s…and added people to group photo’s, for example to complete a family portrait where some member/s have been missing.
